Frequently asked questions

My car is new enough — do I still need to register?

Yes. The registration requirement for foreign plates is separate from the admission criteria. Without registration you risk a €150 fine (€350 in Brussels), even with a clean car.

How far in advance do I need to register?

At the latest before you enter the zone; we recommend at least 24 hours ahead so the registration is definitely processed.
